Stereo World Magazine
Publication Guidelines
Stereo World actively welcomes submissions that focus on historical and contemporary stereo photography and stereoviews, including stereographers, publishers, cameras, viewers, and 3-D imaging.
We also welcome informative and “how to” articles about stereo equipment and techniques relating to cameras, viewers, digital, video, and mobile applications. Articles illustrating unique stereo subjects and events are also encouraged. Space constrains our ability to publish lengthy articles featuring stereos by clubs and individuals as well as general historical articles illustrated with stereoviews but not focused on stereography.
Feature articles are generally limited to a maximum of 10 pages (2,500 to 6,500 words) and 10 to 15 stereo illustrations with a preferred length of 6 to 8 pages. We also encourage shorter articles of 1 to 5 pages (800 to 2500 words) and 2 to 10 stereos. Whenever possible, illustrations should be full stereo rather than stereo halves with exceptions at the discretion of the Editor.
Obituaries including a single stereo of or by those having made significant contributions to the NSA, Stereo World, stereo history, technique, and history of photography are welcome but overall length should generally be limited to one quarter to one half page and biographical detail should be primarily related to their contributions to stereo. In special circumstances one half to one full page may be considered by the Editor.
Authors are responsible for obtaining all reproduction rights and permissions for both print and electronic publication by the NSA. Authors retain the rights to their work, but grant permission for the NSA to publish in print and electronic formats. We request that prior publication by NSA is cited in future uses by the Author.
For submission please contact Stereo World Editor John Dennis at . Articles are accepted at the discretion of the Editor and Publication Committee and may be edited and resubmitted to the author prior to publication. Text should be submitted as a doc or docx Word files. Illustrations should be sent separately as 400 dpi/ppi jpeg, PSD, or TIFF files (2400 pixel width). Large multiple images can be uploaded to file hosting services as directed by the Editor.
